How do we shape a day, a week, our communal life? How can we participate in “the repairing of the world?” These are central themes in my books, book-inspired sculptures, and installations. 

 

I joined the group in 2015 when we explored the theme of community. For my project I formed delicate paper bowls with threads of written inside and outside of their walls, suggesting inner experience and the outward expression of various faith traditions. Meant to be held, these bowls invite slowing down and reflection. 

 

My work has been supported by grants and awards, including a Minnesota Book Artist Award for my body of work and contribution to community.
