We have been living in odd times-pandemic times. How do we find hope in these difficult times? How do we heal from the everyday crises of these times? The nineteen artists in the Interfaith Artist Circle have been addressing these questions with our art, working in a variety of media. One of us interviews and sketches health care heroes at a hospital including doctors, nurses, social workers as well as others. Another creates colorful, whimsical painting to reflect life in pandemic times. A fiber artist makes abstract sketches with thread to reflect her relationships and her daily emotions. A second fiber artist uses rays of light to represent her sense of hope in dark times. Still another artist portray a vision of the future as an anchor of hope. With this ongoing art project, we hope to create a dialogue about our lives during this time of pandemic.
